Side by side, not face to face
No one studying your expression. A lot of men find it easier to be honest when they are not being looked at directly.
In-person, outdoors, Toronto's east end
Some men find it easier to talk shoulder to shoulder, moving, outdoors, than sitting across from someone in a room. If that is you, we can walk, in the Beaches, Leslieville, or along the Don Valley trails.
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) · Free consult · Toronto's east end
Therapy that happens on a walk, outdoors, instead of in an office. Same work, same confidentiality standards, different setting. You are side by side rather than face to face, moving rather than sitting still. For a lot of men that small change makes it easier to say the real thing. We walk in Toronto's east end, the Beaches boardwalk, the quieter streets of Leslieville, or the Don Valley trails.
The idea
No one studying your expression. A lot of men find it easier to be honest when they are not being looked at directly.
Walking gives restless energy somewhere to go. It can make a hard conversation feel less like an interrogation.
No waiting room, no couch, no therapy office. For men who find that setting itself a barrier, this removes it.
It is still therapy, with the same confidentiality and depth. Only the setting changes.
Simple, and no pressure
We talk about what is going on and whether walk-and-talk fits. Nothing to prepare, and no commitment.
The Beaches, Leslieville, or the Don Valley trails, planned around your privacy.
Fifty minutes, at a normal walking pace, at whatever depth you are ready for.
Walk-and-talk runs spring through fall in Toronto, when the weather cooperates. Through winter, and for anyone outside the east end or elsewhere in Ontario, the same work happens online, year-round. A lot of men do both, walk in the warmer months, online when it is cold or busy. When you are ready, book a free 15-minute call.
Walk-and-talk is a recognized way of doing therapy, and many men simply find it easier to open up while moving and side by side than sitting in a room. On privacy: we are in a public space, so we plan for it, a quiet route and a low-traffic time, and we talk on the first call about what makes you comfortable. What you say is held to the same professional and confidentiality standards as any session.
Yes. Same work, same confidentiality, same depth. The setting is the only difference.
Toronto's east end, the Beaches, Leslieville, or the Don Valley trails. We settle on a quiet route together on the first call.
We plan for it, a quiet route, a low-traffic time, and whatever makes you comfortable. What you say is held to the same standards as any session.
We move that week's session online. Online is always available as a fallback.
The first 15-minute call is free. Sessions are $160 for 50 minutes, and you receive a receipt after each one. Whether therapy is covered depends on your plan, so it is worth checking your own policy. No packages, no minimum, session to session.
Walk-and-talk is east-end Toronto (the Beaches, Leslieville, the Don Valley). The same work is available online across Ontario, year-round.
