Jewish therapy for men, online across Ontario
Sometimes the most useful thing in therapy is not having to explain the background first. Talking to someone who already shares the context means you are not also translating.
This is culturally informed therapy for Jewish men. It honors both the universal work, anxiety, stress, relationships, meaning, and the specifically Jewish layers of identity, family, and belonging that shape how a lot of it gets carried. It is online across Ontario and Canada, from a therapist based in Toronto.
Identity and belonging
For a lot of Jewish men, identity is not something you sort out once and file away. It shifts with where you are, who you are with, and how close or distant you feel from community and tradition. Therapy can be a place to look at that honestly, without having to defend it or perform it.
Family and community expectations
There is often a quiet weight to expectation, from family, from community, from the version of yourself you were supposed to have become by now. Naming it out loud, with someone who understands the texture of it, is frequently where the pressure starts to ease.
Intergenerational patterns and legacy
A lot of what we carry was handed down rather than chosen: ways of coping, the things that go unspoken, a sense of duty to the people who came before. Looking at those patterns is not about blame. It is about understanding the why underneath them, so you get more of a say in what you keep.

The last while has been heavy for a lot of Jewish people, and it can settle in the body as a low, constant stress that is hard to put down. You do not have to have it all worked out to talk about it. This is a steady, private place to set some of it down, at your own pace.
Faith, doubt, and meaning
Questions of faith, doubt, and meaning do not always have tidy answers, and they do not need to. Whether you are observant, secular, somewhere in between, or still working it out, this is a space to explore what you actually believe and what gives your life weight.
How I work
I work as a guide, not a guru. You are the expert on your own life. We build trust first, move at your pace, and get curious about what is underneath the things that feel stuck. Most sessions can open with a short, optional moment to arrive and settle before we talk.
I am based in Toronto and work online with men across Ontario and Canada, including those in communities like Thornhill and Richmond Hill. Sessions are virtual, so we can work together wherever you are in the province.
